Ponce Bank Looks Outside Their Core for Digital and Fintech Solution

HUTCHINSON, KAN., January 25, 2024 — DCI, the privately-owned developer of core processing, digital banking, and fintech processing solutions, today announced a new partnership with Ponce Bank, Bronx, NY, to provide sidecar core processing for the bank’s digital branches and fintech services.

Ponce Bank is currently processing its main bank on a different core than DCI. But the bank has opted to use DCI as the complete solution for all their digital bank offerings going forward and have signed a three-year contract.

Using DCI as its sidecar core, Ponce Bank will begin processing a digital offering that will provide immediate volume for the bank. And, by using DCI’s iCore360 and APIs solution, the bank will have no middleware, eliminating excessive contracts, extra points of failure, and higher costs for the bank, while allowing them to implement changes with ease.

When asked why the bank chose DCI for its sidecar core processing, Ponce Bank’s President and CEO Carlos Naudon explained, “At Ponce we strive to treat EVERY customer as if they’re our BEST customer and robust and flexible technology offerings are critical to this mission. Our experiences working with some of the large software firms haven’t aligned with our goals to serve these underserved but highly deserving customers. DCI shares this mission to do well, while also doing good, and we saw in them a commitment to ensuring we have the tools we need to deliver on our goals.”

Sarah Fankhauser, President and CEO of DCI noted, “Ponce Bank has a corporate culture that aligns seamlessly with DCI’s values. They are an ideal addition to the DCI family. This partnership underscores DCI’s emergence as the premier processor for banks venturing into the sponsor or digital branch banking realms.”
