Kansas Banker John Clarke Recipient of the 2024 Nation Meyer Innovative Banker Award

– President Honored at DCI Annual Banking Conference – 

HUTCHINSON, KAN., October 22, 2024 – DCI, the privately-owned developer of core processing, digital banking, and fintech processing solutions, named John Clarke, President, CFO, and lead IT Officer for Bank of Hays, Hays, Kansas, the recipient of the 11th annual Nation Meyer Innovative Banker Award.

The annual award recognizes a DCI banker for their contribution toward the betterment of banking for their community, the DCI family of banks and the industry as a whole, in honor of the company’s founder, Nation Meyer, and his legacy of innovative vision in banking technology and community collaboration that founded DCI in 1963. Clarke was selected from nominations submitted by DCI bankers and received a custom award and $1,000 cash in a public ceremony at the DCI 2024 Annual Bankers Conference in Kansas City last month.

Clarke was nominated by coworkers, citing his constant drive to innovate bank products and technology to build a better, easier, and more convenient banking experience for his customers. His mentoring attitude and guidance were alsonoted, as well as his volunteer positions, where he works to improve benefits, products and services for bankers nationwide.

Clarke has been in the banking community for 40 years, opening the Bank of Hays in 2004. He plans to retire later this year.
