HUTCHINSON, KAN., September 25, 2019 – Data Center Inc. (DCI), the privately-owned developer of iCore360® core banking software and related digitial technologies, hosted over 300 bank clients, prospects, guests, staff, and exhibitors at the DCI 2019 Annual Bankers Conference, held recently in Overland Park, Kan.
The conference officially started on the greens of Falcon Ridge Golf Course early Sunday morning, as golfing fans competed for top scores in the 16th annual AJ Krail golf tournament. Later in the day, a more theatrical group enjoyed “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and a tasty meal at the New Theatre Restaurant, while several thrill-seekers tried their luck axe throwing at Blade and Timber. Four other groups raced against the clock, and each other, at Tick Tock Escape Room.
Sunday evening everyone met for the opening reception and exhibitor showcase, where attendees mingled, enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, networked, and played Seeing Double for a chance to win terrific giveaways. The exhibitor showcase hosted 50 vendors, the largest turnout of exhibitors to date. Following the reception, highrollers headed to Hollywood Casino to cash in on the fun, while singing enthusiasts gathered for spirited karaoke in the exhibit hall.
The conference program began Monday morning with keynote speaker Jack Mackey. Mackey shared how the best organizations differentiate the customer experience with a pervasive service culture that drives enthusiastic loyalty.
After the keynote, attendees headed to sessions with subjects ranging from the latest DCI products and services, to executive track subjects from experts like Sam Kunjukunju with the ABA, Elizabeth Fast with Spencer Fane, and Mark Schmelzle with AGH, to industry insights from experts like Hailie Turner from the Federal Reserve, Erik Swain with the FDIC, and Heather McCalman with the FSISAC, plus sponsor demonstrations from Mastercard, Allied Payment Network, The Clearing House, NCR, and Visa. Other attendees went to the free hands-on training and instructor-led classes for iCore360 and other DCI applications, taught by DCI education specialists.
At lunch on Monday, DCI presented the sixth annual Nation Meyer Innovative Banker award to Christy Mavers from FirstOak Bank in Independence, KS, for her innovative thinking and tireless work to improve the world around her as a banker, DCI client, and community leader. Monday evening attendees and DCI staff boarded their choice of destination buses and headed to Kansas City hotspots at The Plaza, Power and Light District, Legends and Prairiefire. Bank presidents, CEOs and prospects had dinner with DCI board members and upper management.
The conference wrapped up Tuesday morning with additional education and expert sessions, plus the eBanking User Group meeting. John Jones, President and CEO of DCI said, “Conference provides us time to teach new and exisiting DCI benefits, in addition to highlighting some of the latest trends in the banking industry. But it’s also an extended time where we meet face to face with our customers, to hear what their current – and future – needs are, and find out how we can help them best compete in today’s digital marketplace.”
