Chief Executive Officer
John Jones was named DCI’s President & CEO in 2003 and is responsible for leading the company’s strategic growth and executing its mission to serve the core technology needs of community banks. Inspired by DCI’s unique model and mission — by community banks for community banks — John joined the company in 1999 as Executive Vice President of Operations with executive responsibility for 13 processing centers, IT management, development, implementations and support. His deep experience managing financial data centers across the U.S. was instrumental in expanding DCI markets in California, New Mexico, Arkansas, Washington and more.
John is a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans where he earned a B.S. in Psychology. Following college, John taught math, psychology and Latin for three years before moving into the banking industry in 1978 as a programmer and analyst. John quickly moved into leadership roles overseeing technical operations at large southeastern banks and data processing providers before being appointed CIO of a major technology company in Florida. From 1988 to 1997, John served as VP of Operations for the EDS/Newtrend Division and then at HTE where he was responsible for establishing an Outsourcing Division and served as Director of Resource Management.
John believes in the importance of giving back to his community. John currently serves as Cluster Co-Chair on the Blueprint for Regional Economic Growth Initiative, and is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Hutchinson. He is a past member of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber Board and the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Board
