Web Specialist

The Web Specialist is responsible for the client-facing aspect of the Web Design department. The Web Specialist will be responsible for interfacing with clients and guiding their design choices to facilitate the building of their website. In addition, they will work internally with project managers and the design team to ensure delivery of project to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients in a variety of meetings scheduled throughout the website production process
  • Coordinate with internal team to deliver design parameters from customer
  • Works directly with customers as necessary to identify exact requirements and receive customer preferences and feedback
  • Present concepts and website options to customers to match their needs with design solutions
  • Build and maintain client relationship
  • Design website concepts and complete non-programming revisions and production work as needed
  • Use DCI Content Management System to update customer website designs
  • Assist designers with creating website comps for clients
  • Review projects for quality control
  • Assist Web Developer with modifications and project checkout
  • Participate in design meetings with customer and coordinate with project manager to update timelines for deliverables
  • Assists in the coordination of implementation and customer training
  • Track and coordinate multiple projects at one time
  • Assists in prioritizing all customer requests for system changes and enhancements.
  • Assists in developing project specifications.
  • Performs quality assurance testing of software changes.
  •  Communicates software changes to DCI customers via written correspondence that is distributed by the Documentation Department

Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

  • Customer Support/ Client interaction experience
  • Experience in tracking and coordinating projects
  • Highly organized, thoughtful, self-managed individual
  • Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to apply those to projects
  • Effective planning, coordination, time management, and organization skills
  • Effective and appropriate face-to-face and verbal communication skills, as well as appropriate conduct of interpersonal relations.
  • Effective communication skills in writing and speaking clearly and concisely.
