Scrum Master

The Scrum Master coordinates the work of Agile development teams and plays a facilitating role in the software development lifecycle for the Development teams at Data Center, Inc. The Scrum Master is responsible for planning, supervising, and participating in the activities to drive the operation and completion of the projects and assignments of the Development teams. Utilizing Scrum Methodology and the principles of Agile Manifesto, the Scrum Master ensures timely and accurate problem solving, software enhancement, testing, change management, and client relations. The Scrum Master works with department managers and team members to achieve sprint goals while overseeing initiatives to ensure the desired result is achieved. Responsible for advising management when project or initiatives are experiencing delays or budget overruns.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Plans and facilitates scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand up, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manages project outlines, timelines, and sprint cycles.
  • Shapes team behavior through excellent management via agile method.
  • Acts as a liaison between development teams and product management, reducing obstacles and fostering good communication through the Agile software lifecycle.
  • Identify and resolve impediments that slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones.
  • Facilitates the team for better creativity and works to improve the efficiency of the development team.
  • Proficient use of board software, such as, Azure DevOps.
  • Motivates Agile teams to continue to strive for better and pursue change.
  • Remains current on best practices and necessary education for self-development and continued Agile process improvement.
  • Administers training of agile practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science or related field

Experience

5 years or more experience as a Scrum Master. Scrum Master Certification required (CSM)
