Lead Office 365 Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Office 365 Administrator position is responsible for the design, documentation, build, testing, and maintenance to ensure the success of DCI’s Office 365  environment. Additionally, this position will have a significant role in the administration of Active Directory, Citrix, and General Windows Server administration. The Lead Office 365 Administrator is also responsible for educating and cross training the rest of the department on the Office 365 environment. The Lead Office 365 Administrator is also responsible for making sure that the rest of the department is adhering to policies and procedures defined by the manager of the department. The Lead Office 365 Administrator is responsible for the education and training of subordinates, and ensuring that subordinates are providing adequate support and services for our users.  The Lead Office 365 Administrator is also responsible for the development of new IT solutions, and making efficiency improvements to existing solution, in an effort to keep the department innovative and moving forward.  The position demands direct interaction with the other technical teams.  This position provides technical guidance and delivering solutions to DCI and DCI customers.

Responsibilities

IT Systems Admin

  • Is involved in the research and development of Citrix solutions and general IT related projects within the Internal Tech. Admin. group.
  • Consults and coordinates with other DCI teams for best IT solutions adhering to DCI standards and practices.
  • Produces technical architectures that are modular, reliable, and scalable.
  • Is responsible for execution of the project implementation plan.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that the rest of the department is adhering to policies and procedures and providing support and services at acceptable levels.
  • Develops documentation and train appropriate staff.

Engineering Support and Development

  • Is responsible for keeping the Citrix environment up to date on all products, and for ensuring that patches are applied in a timely manner.
  • Assists in development of standards and best practices.
  • Continually improves all aspects of the deskside engineering and end-user experience
  • Is available for after-hours support and be part of an on call rotation.

Other

  • Provides back-up support to other staff as well as supports functions and duties performed by the Technical Implementation / Support department.Is responsible for patch management of the systems managed by this department and for ensuring that patches are applied in a timely manner.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years holding an IT administrative position.
