Internal Auditor

DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology and processing solutions to the financial industry, is recruiting for an Internal Auditor at our Corporate Headquarters in Hutchinson, KS. 

The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing internal audits of applications, systems software, functions, and various DCI departmental areas, as well as assisting in the coordination of various external projects.

Responsibilities

  • Performs audit fieldwork as defined in audit programs.
  • Uses PC word processing and spreadsheet software to document audit findings.
  • Reviews various publications such as regulatory, audit, and DCI application manuals.
  • Researches compliance issues to ensure applications adhere to current regulations.
  • Assists in the maintenance, continual development, and scheduling of annual audit plan.
  • Assists in determining areas of risk and appraises potential risk significance in relation to the operational factors of cost, scheduling, and quality.
  • Assists in maintaining audit programs.
  • Assists in evaluating effectiveness of controls during the installation and/or development of new computer systems and data processing applications.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with operating management.
  • Receives requests, prepares and distributes audit confirmations and examination download files.
  • Assists with 3rd Party Service Providers’ projects, including but not limited to SSAE#18 reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, PCI assessments and regulatory examinations.
  • Maintains and enhances their professional proficiency through participation in a program of continuing education, leading to industry certifications.  
  • Ensures that personal work area, desk, and other shared departmental work areas are maintained in a neat and organized manner.
  • Assist the Information Security and Enterprise Risk Officer in researching compliance issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in MIS or other technology related field.
  • At least three to five years ork expeirence in banking or technology auditing or related field.
  • Intermediate understanding and knowledge of DCI applications, financial data processing, and client server systems.
  • Basic understanding in reading various reports pulled from programming languages.
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding in conducting audits.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer use including accounting and financial management application packages, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Proficiency in composing business letters, mailings, creating and maintaining spreadsheets.    Excellent leadership skills and conduct of interpersonal relations.
  • Effective planning, coordination, time management, and organization skills.
  • Effective and appropriate verbal, face-to-face and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal relating skills.
  • Advanced PC operation skills, word-processing, and spreadsheet software proficiency, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
