HR & Recruiting Specialist

DCI, a provider of full-service bank technology and processing solutions to the financial industry, is recruiting for an HR & Recruiting Specialist at our Corporate Office in Hutchinson, KS.

Come join an HR team with 20 years of HR experience! Main responsibility of this position will be leading all recruitment and on-boarding efforts for DCI. This involves posting positions, reviewing resumes, setting up interviews, conducting phone interviews, conducting reference checks, making offers and conducting a thorough new hire orientation. This individual acts as the back-up payroll processor and assists in the bi-weekly payroll process while also being heavily involved in the administration and coordination of various human resource programs as well as employee engagement. 

This position will also be an integral part of the Human Resources team:

Essential Functions:

  • Provides one on one support to all hiring managers
  • Facilitates all internal and external job posting announcements
  • Manages and communicates effectively with all applicants from application to on-boarding and all steps in between
  • Conducts phone screenings and interviews
  • Coordinates and completes background checks and drug screens for all potential new hires
  • Attends local Career Fairs
  • Participates in Virtual Career Fairs
  • Assists Payroll Administrator and be back up processor for payroll
  • Checks payroll input on a bi-weekly basis
  • Responsible for all workers' compensation claims
  • Completes OSHA report
  • Tracks and administers all FMLA leave
  • Coordinates and plans internal company events
  • Assists employees with common employment questions and needs

Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management or other equivalent
  • 3 years’ work experience in Human Resources
  • 3 years' experience in talent acquisition and recruiting
  • Knowledge of FMLA policy and administration
  • Minimum 1 year payroll processing experience
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation administration
  • 2+ years' experience using HRIS systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organization, planning, writing and verbal communication skills are also required.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multi-task are essential in this position.
  • PHR Certification preferred but not required.
