Fraud Investigations Manager

The Fraud Investigations Manager is responsible for managing work and employees associated with the investigation of fraudulent claims. These claims are reported by DCI customers for all payment types transacted by DCI products and solutions. The Manager will also perform these same duties, as they will be a working manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees caseload assignment, interaction with claims staff, and relationships with internal and external sources.
  • Designs anti-fraud plans, provides staff training sessions, and oversees statistical reporting.
  • Dig into transaction data and user profile data to discover and investigate fraud patterns.
  • Use a variety of internal and external tools to conduct data analytics and fraud pattern analytics exercise.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 4+ years’ fraud/risk management and fraud analytics experience.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE0 credential preferred.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

  • Oversees and/or conducts in-depth investigations of suspicious activity or claims of fraud.
  • Documents all investigative activities and prepares reports of findings needed for legal proceedings.
  • Maintains records, databases, logs, and other needed documentation related to fraudulent claims and activity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field’s concepts and principles.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees.
  • Strong data analytics skills for evaluating and iterating detection strategies.
  • Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Good use of judgement and creativity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time and project management ability with focus to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent PC operation skills and software usage proficiency.
