Design and Marketing Specialist

The Design and Marketing Specialist is responsible the creation and implementation of DCI’s corporate visual brand identity in print and digital spaces. This role will assist in the creation and implementation of internal and external marketing initiatives, while adhering to production schedules/deadlines and ensuring standards for quality, messaging, branding, strategy and usage are met.

The Design and Marketing Specialist will also assist with other Marketing projects that fall within the department’s scope of work.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met
  • Create and support visual branding for events, campaigns, and projects
  • Ensure projects are completed to high quality standards and on schedule
  • Establish and support creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Perform retouching and manipulation of images
  • Work with a wide range of media formats (print/digital)
  • Work with Adobe Creative Suite design software
  • Support web site redesign effort including assistance for outside web design firm and preparations to continue work beyond existing project plan

Marketing

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, digital campaigns, and events
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns
  • Analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing program
  • Assist in the planning of company events and conference
  • Limited travel to annual conference, etc.
  • Draft, maintain and verify website and Intranet content to maintain overall web site goals and corporate messaging, branding and strategy
  • Compile website activity metrics and reporting
  • Coordinate advertising and press placement schedules with media and/or publications
  • Develop familiarity and expertise with DCI products in order to identify features and benefits and ensure marketing content is accurate
  • Use and maintain internal databases and mailing lists
  • Develop, maintain and track project calendars, schedules, details, resources and timelines
  • Organize and distribute campaign collateral and deliverables into marketing libraries
  • Maintain database and archives of marketing assets
  • Research and manage print and other production services as needed
  • Ensure that all marketing assets are properly organized, secured and adhere to the corporate branding guidelines
  • Other general administrative tasks as needed to support the marketing initiatives

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
  • Experience creating and editing graphic visual artwork, designs, concepts, and layouts
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, color space, file formats, and graphic design principles
  • Understanding of social media, email, and digital platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent eye for detail
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • Ability to concurrently handle multiple projects and priorities
