Card Services Implementation Specialist


The Card Services Implementation Specialist is responsible for the coordination and implementation of ATM card, debit card and/or ATM terminals with client institutions. Also responsible for coordination of ancillary products such as but not limited to Fraud Scoring, Verified By Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, and VRU.  Other responsibilities include second level problem determination for existing client institutions using logging and research tools available to Card Services, as well as acting as a liaison between DCI Card Customers and DCI's Card Services Department.


Implementation Coordination

  • Plan, coordinate, implement and conduct appropriate follow-up with client financial institutions concerning conversions, special projects and new services, which include ATM's, ATM cards, debit cards, and a wide variety of other card and electronic funds transfer (EFT) related products.
  • Complete network contracts and paperwork for implementations and additional services.  
  • Assists in the development, maintenance and documentation of implementation procedures.
  • Participates in the review and evaluation of procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency of card projects and conversion implementations.

Ongoing Support, Problem Resolution & Development

  •  Perform research and problem determination for second level card & ATM issues and work with Customer Support Representatives for follow up of these items with the client institutions. 
  • Coordinate special requests between client institutions and the card vendor.
  • Provides Card Services support to Customer Support staff and Implementation Group areas.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new card products as well as enhancements to the existing card and EFT system.
  • Assists Development, Customer Support, and Operations staff with testing and production processing. 


  • Assist in marketing of InstaKEY services through visits and phone calls to current and potential customers as well as written proposals.
  • Provide back up to functions and duties performed by the other Card Services staff members.



  • Knowledge of operation of ATM/card and EFTS network and bank settlements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical banking equipment is helpful.
  • Understanding of financial data processing principles and processes.    Effective and pleasant verbal communication style and skill.
  • Excellent interpersonal relating skills.
  • Strong planning, coordination, time management, and organization skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight time frames
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills. 
  • Upto 50% travel

Associates degree in Accounting or Banking.


Two years work experience in a customer contact role, preferably in bankcard services and/or data processing.
